after one of our recent trips (to the bahamas! oooh lala), we arrived home from the airport ravenous and exhausted. my mom, an angel in human form, was so incredibly thoughtful; during the time she had to kill while our flight was delayed, she jetted off to publix to do a little groc shopping, providing relief to our pathetic pantry and fridge. as she picked us up, she called out the staples she had collected: loaf of bread, whole milk, dog treats, and a roasted chicken. since that night i've also used beef from a pot roast (pictured here); either way, this sandwich is truly equipped to satisfy any weary traveler!
ingredients:
2 slices of bread (wheat is good, white is better)
instant mashed potatoes (i used the garlic publix brand)
roasted chicken or beef
barbecue sauce
